Writing

It has come to my attention that some of the information posted on this page has been used illegally. I have been contacted by several sources, all stating that students have been using some of the work I had posted earlier on this page and passing it off as their own.

Due to the fact that some people have actually been using material published on this blog in school work, such as term papers and reader responses, I have chosen to suspend any further development on this page until an appropriate solution is found.

I have never, nor will I ever condone plagiarism; and until I find a way to protect my work from being exploited in such a manner, I have chosen not to post anything on this page. I’m all for using outside sources in support of my work or ideas, as long as it’s legal. I mean how hard is it to use quotation marks and citing the publication? But passing someone else’s work as your own is just wrong; for so many reasons.

A WARNING TO STUDENTS: It is extremely easy to discover if a paper has been plagiarized. Professors can just enter a line, which has either been oddly used or doesn’t fit, into Google and voila! Instant cheat-sniffer.

  1. I don’t blame you! I also get this sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach when this happens:/

And as you mentioned; they can easily label it through quotations and whatnot.
